Courts Hierarchy in Outline
This diagram helps to explain the Courts Hierarchy in England and Wales. From the bedrock of justice in the Magistrates’ Courts, justice is also done through the Crown Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and the final arbiter is the House of Lords (until November 2009 when that role passed to the new Supreme Court).
