Publication of the programme for the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2025 (August 9-21) confirms that Dr Kirstin Anderson, editor of the Waterside Press publication The Barlinnie Special Unit: Art, Punishment and Innovation, will be speaking at the festival on Monday August 18.
The session is called ‘Unlocking the Arts’ and she will appear alongside Behind Bars poet Lady Unchained to argue the case for art and creativity in and after prison.
