Our website has undergone a complete overhaul. There are many enhancements which we hope will make it easier to use. We will be adding more features in future, but for now this is a summary of the most significant changes at launch. The images below show the desktop version, but all features are available on mobile too.
Search and navigation improvements
Our new improved website design will make it easier than ever to find what you are looking for. Using either the main navigation menu with its Books and Articles drop-downs, or the hugely improved Search feature should get you to information that interests you more quickly.
The Books menu item is the new gateway to our online shop. Here you will find links to all of our Categories.
New bookstore categories
Within our growing catalogue we now have a Mental Health category, and have renamed Social Affairs as Society and Social Work.
Easier to find interesting content
Articles, galleries, extra book content and other items of interest have been reorganised into helpful sections. These can now be found under the main navigation Articles link. Should you wish to, you can also now add comments to some of this content.
Online payments expanded
There are now many more ways to pay than ever before, including Google Pay and Apple Pay, alongside Paypal, Paypal Pay Later and ordinary credit and debit card transactions.
Delivery improvements
We have a new delivery structure with more options than ever before, including guaranteed next day services alongside our Free Standard Delivery for UK customers. For international customers, we have revamped our prices, with further improvements expected over the coming months. We hope to recommence supplying European Union mail order customers later this year.
Customer accounts
To adhere to GDPR regulations as we moved to a new system we decided to only carry across details of customers who have ordered from the website in the last year. If you are one of these, you will be asked to set up a new password when you first log in. All other customers will be required to register for a new account, or checkout as a guest. Past ordering information was not part of the transfer but is available on request – please contact us if you need something for your records.
Business changes
In About Us you will find updates related to the business, with Alex Gibson becoming a partner, a little about our origins and additional services that we offer.

All this plus extra speed, security enhancements and back-office upgrades which will allow us to serve you better. We are confident our new improved website will help drive the Waterside Press mission Putting justice into words well into the future.
