Description
Better An Empty House… is a refreshingly honest and informative account in which the author excels with tips and practical ideas about every aspect of the rental industry — including the challenges, legalities, areas of risk, property management, inventories, deposits, periodic inspections, décor and how to prepare a property for letting. From finding a property to the merits and demerits of houses, flats, apartments, studios and annexes, to practical tips and legal issues, author Mike Jones explains the rental industry in straightforward terms.
The book brims with information for anyone thinking of letting or investing in a residential property (including buy-to-let). Based on experiences from his long career, including as co-founder of a successful lettings and property sales agency, Mike imparts his wisdom on key aspects of this vibrant, fast-moving and challenging industry.
For beginners and seasoned landlords alike, Better An Empty House… is a one-stop guide for landlords and investors, containing true tales of landlords/tenants and dealing with regulation, compliance and Government proposals.
