Tim Newell is well-known in prison circles and beyond as a former Governor of Her Majesty’s Prison Grendon and Spring Hill, from where he took the lead in developing Restorative Justice in three prisons in the first substantial HM Prison Service pilot project during the early 2000s. He was, for many years, the editor of Prison Service Journal.
