Thomas Mathiesen was Professor of Sociology of Law at the University of Oslo. One of the leading inter­national commentators on surveillance issues, he has long been associated with penetrating analysis of challenges to democracy, penal policy, surveillance, civil liberties and the abuse of power.

John Hosking

John Hosking combined a lifetime in business with service as a justice of the peace. Chairman of the nationwide Magistrates’ Association from 1987 to 1990, he is life vice-president of the Kent branch (where he served on the Ashford bench). He has acted as a Deputy Lord Lieutenant and was awarded the CBE in 1990 for services to the magistracy.

Dr Nicole Letourneau PhD is a Registered Nurse. She is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing and Cumming School of Medicine (Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Community Health Sciences), University of Calgary, where she holds the Alberta Children’s Hospital Chair in Parent-Infant Mental Health and is Director of RESOLVE.
